Police notes, Nov. 7, 2009
The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • An amplifier and speakers were taken Thursday from the trunk of a 2004 Subaru parked in the 600 block of West San Mateo Street.
  • A gym bag containing a laptop computer and clothing was stolen Thursday from a vehicle parked near Santa Fe Spa, 786 N. St. Francis Drive.
  • Six cars parked at the Santa Fe Apartments, 255 Camino Alire, were broken into late Wednesday or early Thursday. Stereos were taken from all the vehicles.
  • A digital camera was stolen Thursday from a 2004 Chevrolet parked in the 100 block of Camino de las Crucitas.
  • A laptop computer was stolen Nov. 1 from a residence in the 200 block of Closson Street.
  • A pinewood box and $15 in currency was stolen Thursday from a residence in the 200 block of South El Rancho Road.
  • A cell phone and its charger were reported stolen late Wednesday or early Thursday from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 1600 block Villa Strada.
  • A purse was stolen Thursday from 2009 Dodge Caravan parked near Jackalope, 2820 Cerrillos Road. The back passenger side window had been broken out.
  • A 2002 Ford Crown Victoria, formerly used as a police cruiser, was stolen late Wednesday or early Thursday from a residence in the 2200 block of Miguel Chavez Road.
  • A 2003 Nissan pickup was burglarized late Wednesday or early Thursday outside a residence in the 2800 block of Plaza Rojo. A radar detector was reported stolen.
  • Workman's tools were stolen between Oct. 31 and Tuesday from a residence being remodeled in the 100 block of West Zia Road. A sliding glass door had been shattered.
  • One hundred CDs and a pack of gum were reported stolen late Wednesday or early Thursday from a 1988 Chevy Camaro parked in the 2200 block of Camino Carlos Rey.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
  • Two flat-screen TVs and seven gold rings were stolen Monday from a residence on Camino Largo.
  • Phil Martinez, 49, no address given, was arrested Monday on charges of battery against a household member.
  • A flat-screen TV, two iPods, a laptop computer, a wooden jewelry box containing miscellaneous jewelry items , $250 in cash, a set of keys, a Sony PS2 and a checkbook were reported stolen Monday from a residence on Rabbit Road.
  • A flat-screen TV and miscellaneous rifles and shotguns were stolen Monday from a residence on Stone Ridge Road.
  • Jewelry, cash, a checkbook, an iPod, a digital camera and a flat-screen TV with a total value of $14,280 were stolen Monday from a residence on Nancy's Trail.
  • A Nintendo DS game system, cash, a checkbook, video games, a camcorder, an iPod, jewelry and a pellet gun were stolen from a residence on Calle Inez Monday.
  • A handgun and blank checks were stolen between Oct. 25 and Sunday from a residence on Camino Los Roybals in Pojoaque.
  • Joe Perea, 61, of Tesuque was arrested Oct. 31 on charges of battering a household member.
DWI arrests
  • Sky N. Sadler, 21, of Santa Fe was arrested Thursday on charges of DWI and striking a parked vehicle. The exact location of the arrest, somewhere on Cerrillos Road, was not clear on the police report.
  • Loriann C. Gurule, 20, of Santa Fe was arrested Tuesday on charges of DWI, speeding, and not staying in her own lane after a traffic stop at Paseo del Sol West and Airport Road.
