It's so easy to pair futuristic stories with machines. And I can't help but find that the stories are all the same: unrealistic, overly dramatic, action-packed and dull-witted. It seems as if no director can hit the spot and create a believable and entertaining robot/machine movie. Director McG is no different, creating the millionth Terminator movie, Terminator Salvation.

I haven't seen any of the other Terminator movies, but I can infer that each story is generally the same. In Terminator Salvation the Resistance, a.k.a. humans led by John Connor (Christian Bale), are at constant war with Skynet, the organization of evil machines. In a Star Wars fashion, the battle has been going on in the past, is still going on in the present and will continue to go on in the future. I know, confusing, but that's science fiction for you.

The new Terminator, played by Sam Worthington, is a human/machine love-child that is battling with who he really is inside — he can't decide whether he's a good guy or a bad guy. Acting-wise, Worthington is perfect for the character. It's nice seeing a fresh face, as opposed to an actor you know as a slew of other characters.

Leaving the movie you find yourself saying, "What will they think of next?" The story seems to have no boundaries, and ends by letting us all know that Terminator will never die. He'll be back ... which I'm not sure is a good thing.
