The Hangover is about four guys who go to Las Vegas, Nev., for a bachelor party and end up losing the groom and having to find him with just one day left before the wedding.

The movie was inappropriate and lewd; yet it was the funniest movie I've seen in a while. Most movies at least give you time to catch your breath, but The Hangover keeps the laughs coming at an almost nonstop pace.

Bradley Cooper (He's Just Not That into You) plays Phil, a friend of the groom (Doug played by Justin Bartha) who took field trip money to pay for his trip. Ed Helms (The Daily Show, The Office) plays Stu, another of the groom's friends who is whipped over his girlfriend; and finally, there's Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis (Into the Wild) plays Alan, the brother of the bride who tags along with the groom and his friends.

After a road trip to Vegas, the guys are seen on the roof of Caesar's Palace, drinking to prepare for the night ahead of them (that nobody sees until the credits). The next scene shows the friends waking up in a hotel room with a rooster, a tiger in the bathroom, a baby in the closet and a severe case of amnesia — oh, and Doug is missing.

The ensuing drama is comedy gold.

Bottom line: if you want to laugh until it hurts, go see The Hangover.
