The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • A purse was stolen from a 1999 Lincoln sport-utility vehicle parked at a business at 3533 Zafarano Drive between 9:30 a.m. and noon Sunday.
  • A man stole five purses from TJ Maxx, 3421 Zafarano Drive, around noon Sunday.
  • A stolen 1997 Ford Expedition was retrieved Sunday at 564 N. Guadalupe St.
  • A man reported he was battered early Saturday morning in the 6000 block of Sombra Court.
  • Julio Escalante, no age given, 2218 Miguel Chavez Road, Apt. 701, was arrested near the intersection of Rodeo Road and Richards Avenue. Escalante is charged with an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant.
  • Ernesto Baca, P.O. Box 4284, no age given, was arrested on an outstanding Municipal Court warrant. He was picked up Sunday night in the 4300 block of Cerrillos Road.
  • Patrece Visarraga, 18, 1024 Avenida Linda, was arrested Saturday night on a pair of Magistrate Court warrants, including one that charged failure to pay fines on a seat belt violation.
  • A purse is missing from a Chevy Suburban that was parked in the 3700 block of Cerrillos Road on Sunday night.
  • Drive-by gunfire was reported Sunday night in the 1700 block of Mann Street. Police say three rounds were fired from a white, four-door Honda Accord with tinted windows, and .40-caliber shell casings were recovered at the scene.
  • Dora Nowak of Ranchos de Taos was arrested on Cerrillos Road on Monday night after police say she was walking in the road and was found to be the subject of a bench warrant from a judge in Taos.
  • Two suitcases disappeared from the bed of a pickup parked in the 3000 block of Cerrillos Road on Sunday.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
  • A home on Glowing Star Road in Tesuque was burglarized Monday morning. Suspects entered through an unlocked door and stole a television set, jewelry, a camera and a checkbook.
  • Someone forced entry to one of the classrooms at Ramirez Thomas Elementary School and stole a computer hard drive between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Another computer was reported stolen during the same time frame from Sweeney Elementary.
  • A home on Calle Nueva Vista was burglarized Sunday night or Monday morning. A television and DVDs are among missing items.
  • A stereo was stolen from a truck parked in the 100 block of Olive Street on Monday.
  • A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked Monday on Calle Maria Louisa.
