Today's observance of Independence Day will affect the hours and schedules for many businesses and institutions, including the following:- Federal, state, city and county government offices will be closed.
- Post offices will be closed, and only express mail will be delivered.
- Banks will be closed.
- The city of Santa Fe's public libraries will be closed.
- The Santa Fe Trails bus system will run on a Sunday schedule.
- Shuttle buses for Pancakes on the Plaza will run between the downtown and shopping center parking lots at the DeVargas Center and Santa Fe Place every 30 minutes, beginning at 6:15 a.m., with DeVargas service ending at 10:15 a.m. and Santa Fe Place ending at 5:45 p.m.
- The Genoveva Chavez Community Center will be closed.
- The Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe will be open from sunrise to sunset.
- City garbage collection will follow a regular schedule. The transfer station will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Caja del Rio landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The four state museums in Santa Fe will be open. Museum hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The New Mexican's main business office will be closed Friday.
