The Embroidery Shop, formerly known as Embroidery Impressions, has moved to Santa Fe Place and is now in the former Cici's Pizza location.

The Embroidery Shop has a 1,500-square-foot space, compared to just 600 square feet in the previous location.

"We'll still provide excellent quality, custom embroidery but with a new touch — now customers will be able to watch them produce your creative designs while waiting for shopping," said Paul K. Viarraga, owner, in an e-mail.

"We also will provide a showroom of sample apparel, caps and promotional items to order," Viarraga said

In addition, the business provides screen printing and direct-to-garment printing services.

There's a new Asian restaurant in San Isidro Plaza. It's called HoHo's Asian Bistro and is where the Wild Wild Wok used to be.

"Our concept here is basically water-based cooking with no oil," said Daniel Delgado, the restaurant manager. "There's a preference for Asian food in this area. Our business is slowly increasing."

HoHo's and its adjacent sister business, HoHo's Ice Cream, is owned by long-time Santa Fe restaurateur Min Park, whose Osaka Grill and Seafood is located across Cerrillos Road from the new restaurants.

Customers at HoHo's choose a protein, such as beef or shrimp, sauces from China, Korea, Thailand and other countries and a variety of vegetables, all of which are cooked with a spice mix that complements each dish, Delgado said.

HoHo's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, with the exception of 2-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Tishman also said that the recent auction of Zocalo condos was successful, with "a few remaining units left to sell."
